Culverville Island & Paradise Bay:  These were our first landings which brought us our first up close encounters with penguins and our first hikes with beautiful scenery.   This was our favorite day!

Antarctic Weather:   Lemaire Channel, Palmer Station, and Torgerson Island.  Wind, heavy rain, snow, and more wind...  and this is the summer!!  

Deception Island:  Our first stop was Pendulum Cove where we decided to join the Antarctic swim club!!  After a warm shower and dry clothes, we headed over to the other side of the island to visit Whalers Bay.

Artistic Ice:  We had a great time taking pictures on Devil Island.  The sun was doing its job to melt iceberg bits into cool shapes and the penguin chicks were doing their job providing entertainment while chasing their mothers for food.   After Devil Island, we stopped on the continent again (View Point) to find a refuge and some fur seals. 

On the way back and Cape Horn:  Karen snapped this sunset on the way back and our final picture is the two of us with Cape Horn (the southern tip of South America) in the background.
